Keep the decision yours
Advice can inform a decision without taking responsibility away from you.
If someone else makes your decisions, you can lose the learning in both success and failure. When the result is good, you may not understand why. When it is bad, you can blame the adviser and avoid examining your own judgment.
Listen to relevant people. Ask questions. Learn from customers, partners, and people whose experience differs from yours. Then decide what applies to the situation.
Responsibility and freedom belong together. You cannot claim full freedom while making someone else answer for every outcome. Taking responsibility gives you a basis for improving the next decision.
