Understand why an investor can say no
The investor’s decision includes conditions you may not see.
Your company occupies much of your attention. To an investor, it is one opportunity among many. Sector, stage, geography, check size, and existing commitments can restrict the choice. Available capital and internal timing can also matter.
A rejection is therefore not a complete diagnosis of the company. Listen for useful information without treating every explanation as the whole reason. Some constraints are unrelated to your performance. Maintain enough alternatives to continue learning and operating.
Aggregate funding headlines provide little guidance about your own access. Money can concentrate in a few companies even when total investment rises. Compare your evidence with suitable investors’ actual criteria. Do not borrow a fixed threshold from an old market report.
