Learn the message through conversation
The first sentence should make the next question easy.
Do not put the entire business into the opening explanation. Give the listener a clear category, problem, or result. Add detail in response to interest and knowledge. A useful pitch develops in steps.
Test the explanation with real people. Their questions reveal what they understand and what remains unclear. If the same confusion appears repeatedly, change the wording or order. Your intention does not compensate for a message the audience cannot follow.
Make the story accurate enough to withstand a closer look. Remove unnecessary detail without inventing a simpler history. State what exists, what you have learned, and what you intend to build. Confidence and honesty should support each other.
