Scale care deliberately
Growth should change the method of support while preserving responsibility.
The founder cannot answer every message forever. Build tools, shared knowledge, and a capable team before volume destroys the experience. Give people access to previous conversations and relevant product information. Help the customer avoid repeating the same account.
Give support staff enough authority to resolve ordinary issues. A system that requires approval for every small correction creates delay and frustration. Make standards and escalation paths clear. Keep product feedback connected to the people who can fix its cause.
Do not measure support only as a cost to remove. It affects retention, trust, and product knowledge. A cheap process can be expensive if it damages those benefits. The founder’s behavior and rewards should make the real priority visible.
