Match the conversation to readiness
Move through the decision at a pace the buyer can understand.
An early conversation may need to establish the problem. A later conversation may need evidence, implementation details, or a clear next step. Adapt your explanation to that position. Asking for a commitment before the value is clear can end a useful discussion.
Qualification means identifying whether a prospect has a credible reason and ability to buy. Some people lack the need, resources, authority, or willingness to act. Discover this early. An unsuitable prospect is not an opponent you must defeat.
Do not let ego control the process. You can spend hours proving that you are right without creating a sale. Use that time to reach more suitable people. The goal is a useful exchange.
