Understand what margin supports
The difference between revenue and relevant costs gives the business room to act.
Margin helps fund acquisition, product work, service, and the team. A stronger product can then justify more value in return. This can create a reinforcing relationship. It works only while customers receive a result worth the price.
A lower price can change the whole operating model. The team and expenses may remain while less money enters on each sale. Additional volume must actually compensate for that difference. Lowering a number is easy; supporting the new economics can be hard.
A higher price also needs a coherent offer. The company may need different service, proof, or customer selection. Examine price, delivery cost, and demand together. Neither direction is automatically correct.
